Is your dog starting to scuff his belly on the floor? Has your dog’s pouncing and playing turned to bouncing and rolling? Why worry? He’s happy, right?
Well, as it turns out, just like in people, weight gain in dogs is a major cause of many health problems. Overweight dogs live shorter lives, have higher incidences of heart disease, bone and joint problems, and heat related health problems.
So, what to do?
How about bringing your dog to our Weight Loss Camp? While you are out of town, or relaxing in town for that matter, your dog will not only be receiving the best of care, but will be having a great time and getting back into shape. Dogs that come to our weight loss camp will be put on a healthy diet and be given lots of exercise. Don’t worry, we will adjust the exercise to your dog’s fitness level and abilities.
Activities at the camp include walking, running, swimming, playing with other dogs, and playing games with staff. We’ll even teach your dog to play games like fetch and tug-o-war in a polite manner.
You will get updates on your dog’s progress, and, when you pick your dog up, he will go home with a written plan to maintain his newfound sveltness. All of this will only cost you a few more dollars/day than you would normally pay just to board your dog.
What could be better than that?
